Census Updates
We want to thank our customers who have been providing us with all of the helpful feedback in regards to the PGX census.
We realize that in it’s previous incarnation it was not the most user friendly, and have already implemented some of the requested changes. These changes include some cosmetics, the “title selection” step, grouping of issues and grades so we can show total #’s, and the ability to search by slab ID.
We are working on the back end now so that we can implement the other user requests, and will post another blog entry once these changes are available.
Check out the recent changes to the PGX Census. (It’s still not perfect folks, we are working on this right now and expect to have even more enhancements online very soon!)
PGXcomics.com domain issue resolved
Our domain registrar disabled our domain immediately after accepting our payment last week. While we have been informed it was due to a server outage, we are still taking steps to migrate over to a more stable registrar.
We apologize for any inconvenience anyone experienced.
Please note, we have now also registered http://pgxcomics.net and http://pgxcomics.org. (Under a different registrar.)
PGXcomics.com Vol. II
We have a great many enhancements planned for our website, http://pgxcomics.com. The first of these, involved a much needed “facelift”…
- Completely redesigned, the PGX website navigation is much easier to use now, taking users to their desired content quickly. We’ve moved our website to a new host which is much faster, and dedicated to this site. We also spent extra time on the development of the site, in order to make sure and provide the fastest, most enjoyable experience possible.
- The Census has been redesigned and updated. Already much easier to use than it’s previous incarnation, we have more enhancements for searching, and categorizing the results planned.
- The Gallery is now easier to browse, and linked with the site’s ad space, allowing us to display fresh new books to our visitors with every page view. We will be importing new gallery images over time, so keep an eye out to see some of the latest scans of PGX professionally graded comics. Other enhancements are also planned for this section.
There is more to come! A newsletter, video and pictures from shows we attend, a page showing what to look for when searching for high grade books, bios and facility pictures, a page expanding on our grading standards and restoration designations, and a whole lot more!
Check back often as PGX charges forward, and as always, feedback and suggestions are welcome.
The PGX Census is up and running!
We at PGX are proud to announce that the PGX Census is now up and running!
- Titles can be searched by full title name or first letter of title name.

PGX’s grading is based on the PGX Grading Standards developed by PGX and the opinions of the PGX Grading Team and does not guarantee complete acceptance. A restoration check is made on every book that comes through PGX. Every effort is made to detect restoration, but we do not guarantee this process or the result. The PGX Holder can be safely opened if the owner wishes to remove the book. Please note that opening the holder does void the certification. PGX cannot be held responsible for any damage to any book that is not in PGX’s possession. If you would like instructions on opening the holder, please contact us.
The PGX Holder was engineered so any tampering will be readably noticeable. For certification to be valid, the PGX Holder needs to be fully intact with unbroken seals and holographic security stickers.
To ensure the maximum in protection for your comic books, proper storage is advised. Keeping your books in a non-active, dark, humidity and temperature controlled area is optimal. Keeping them away from extremes of light, temperature, moisture, and any other possible hazards will help guarantee the long life of comic books in the PGX Holder.
Once a book has entered the grading process the full cost of the service is realized. The encapsulation of each book in an inner and outer holder is an additional service provided at no charge for each book.
Orders that have not been paid for and have been held for one month past the expected ship date of the order will begin to incur storage fees. If three months pass without payment books will become property of PGX and can be liquidated to recoup grading fees.
