Fill any excess space in the shipping container with extra packaging material to help reduce movement of your comic books during shipping.
Using a large box with plenty of room for packing material will greatly help in protecting your books.
We recommend putting ten to twenty books together, each in their own bag and board, have the books facing each other,
then place inside a larger bag such as a magazine bag. This can be done up to 2 or 3 times. Surround with bubble wrap,
then tape bubble wrap in needed to keep secure. This has been the best way to protect your books that we have found so far.
If you choose to tape each comic book bag please only use one piece of 'easy to remove' tape and please replace any old tape
with a new strip of tape to make removal easier. Archival tape is excellent and is very easy to remove which is very helpful
to us when unpacking your books.
Having each book in an unsealed acid free poly-bag or Mylar sleeve with a backing board provides excellent protection.
Putting more than one comic book in a poly-bag or Mylar sleeve is not recommended.
We recommend insuring your books when shipping them to PGX.
Please note that all books sent to PGX are fully insured while they are here at the PGX facility.
PGX provides insurance when shipping your books from our facility back to you, and the cost is dependent on the value of the books.
You will find the insurance cost listed on the submission form.
