I am in the process of sending you several hundred books from my collection, and I have been very pleased with your service. I wanted to emphasize hopefully for public consumption an important feature of your service that sets you apart from your competition: You give honest apparent grades to restored books. In my experience, the other major grading company slaughters restored books, especially the key books that are most likely to be restored. In theory, once one has identified all of the restoration that a book has undergone, an apparent grade should be the grade that the book would receive if it was unrestored. In practice, the other folks typically award 5.0 and 5.5 grades to restored books that appear to any reasonable observer to be 8.0 and 9.0. I do not understand their motivation, but I am glad that you folks stick to the facts. Keep up the great work.

Dear PGX, My comics arrived from PGX this morning, a week ahead of schedule I might add. Now that’s quality service! Even with much of your staff away at conventions last month, you still managed to get my books back to me nearly two weeks early! This is my first experience with PGX and I’m very pleased overall. I thought a couple of my books might grade a bit better, but hey, it is what it is and I’m not a professional grader. The holder you folks came up with is far superior to that of the competition I might add. There is no comparison. It’s superior in every way. Just holding your holder in one hand the competition’s holder in the other makes this obvious. This was my first experience sending some of my books to be professionally graded. I was so nervous about sending them across the country. You guys put my fears at ease. You e-mailed me when they arrived and did the same when they were sent back to me. Anyway, thank you. Please know you have a new customer, as I’ll be sending some more books for grading shortly. Also, you have a new advocate out here in the comic world. To Everyone @ PGX; I received my comics today, and wanted to take a minute to thank you folks for a job well done. These are the first 2 books I have had graded myself, although I have purchased many, and the experience was much easier, and faster, than I had expected. I was really not expecting to get them back before Christmas even though you told me it was possible, and they actually made it with almost a week to spare… OUTSTANDING!!! Thanks PGX, My first shipment arrived this morning. I must admit that when I decided I wanted to help you guys out, what impressed me most about your business were your competitive prices. But now that I’ve seen your work firsthand (and the durable holders), I realize that PGX is the real deal!

Thanks, I know you guys must be busy because many of the guys I talk to online are talking about your service and the reputation you are building is great. The biggest comment is that someone is at last being consistent. Did you know that 4 guys did a grading test on you? They each sent in 10 books that had been graded previously by CGC, and then they swapped books and resent them to see if you would give the same grades again. Of the 40 books you graded 28 the same as CGC, 1 higher and the remaining 11 one half grade lower. They agreed with your grading more than CGC. The second round of grading you graded 38 the same, the one that you graded higher than CGC graded to the same as them on the second round and the other one you dropped 2 grades because one of the guys accidentally dropped the book before sending it to you and the fall was the difference between a 7.0 and a 6.0. I can not tell you who the guys that did this are, but you can likely figure it out by which 4 customers suddenly went from a few books to a few hundred submissions. Well done!
